I went to Amaretto with my girlfriend last night. The place was very crowded and even without a reservation they sat us immediately and we had a good table. A sweet Italian waitress came over and told us the special with a lovely accent. My girlfriend and I decided to try the specials: Scallops with mushrooms, Meat balls in tomato sauce with a slice of garlic bread and dolcelate cheese, asparagus and mushroom pasta. The soup was amazing, the dressing in the salad (Tomato and Onion salad) was delicate and light and the special pasta was something you don't usually find in a typical Italian restaurant. We ended our meal with a homemade TIRAMISU. The manager (Sonya) at the end of our meal came by the table and offered to us their home-made limoncello which seemed to me to be way much better than the one I usually buy at the liquor store. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Amaretto and we'll definitely come back. And considering the quality and quantity of the food, the price can't be beat! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Exceptional food and service Amaretto is one of the best restaurants in Bournemouth. We always go for the pasta but they have just about everything. All homemade and good. Owner makes you feel like family. He is always in the kitchen and comes out often to chat with customers. We have been going since they opened 8-9 years ago and we keep coming b… . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . We have visited this restaurant a number of times when in Bournemouth. It has always been a wonderful experience for lunch. The food has been fresh and extremely full of flavour and the service attentive. We keep returning as other lunch experiences nearby are so disappointing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A very nice atmosphere, with helpfull staff.
The food was excellent, I had a chicken & pasta dish, well seasoned & very creamy sauce.
We used the early evening meal offer (between 6-8pm), 2 courses for £10 which despite the limited offering from the menu was excellent value.
